BIOGRAPHY
Quanisha Hill is an emerging multimedia artist based in Saint Paul, Minnesota. A graduate of Washington Technology Magnet School, Quanisha first picked up a camera at the age of ten. What began as an interest in capturing portraits of her family and snapshots of the natural world has since evolved into a deeper exploration of identity, community, and culture through visual media.
Over the past year, Quanisha's work has grown to reflect her deepening understanding of African American history and her own cultural roots. Her photography and video projects increasingly center on themes of Black identity, resilience, and representation, capturing everyday moments with purpose and meaning. Whether through intimate portraits or narrative-driven videos, she uses the camera as a tool for both expression and education.
Quanisha currently serves as a teaching artist and portraiture photographer at In Progress, where she helps youth and families from Saint Paul's North End neighborhood engage with digital storytelling. In this role, she not only creates original media but also mentors younger artists, helping them develop technical skills and confidence in sharing their own stories.
