Collecting Survivor stories SCREENING & DISCUSSION SERIES

digital storytelling project from Transforming generations

Collecting Survivor Stories is a screening and discussion series that uplifts Hmong voices of victims/survivors’ lived experiences around sexual violence. Activities are dedicated to the ways in which this part of our community has been able to rebuild their lives through resiliency, support, and for some - forgiveness. Each session is led by Transforming Generations staff, who have developed this concept in partnership with those whose stories will be shared.

The event times for each session will be from 2pm - 4pm! Though should anything change, we'll be sure to inform about the updates.

Transforming Generations has partnered with In Progress to showcase these stories through a screening series in the effort to expand visibility and awareness of sexual violence in the Hmong community. The hope is to continue building analysis and language with people on how to talk and identify what this form of violence looks like in the Hmong community, as well as building a network of champions committed to challenging these harmful practices in transformative ways.
