OVERVIEW
The Documentarian is a film cohort for documentary producers seeking to connect, share ideas, and troubleshoot their processes. Sessions are meant to be informal, build a professional network and bind working artists through a critical thought process.

Six sessions will take place every other Monday from 6:30-8PM March - May on the following dates:

LEAD ARTIST
Kazua Melissa Vang, a Hmong American born and raised in Minnesota, is an artist, photographer, and multi-manager for various productions. She received her Bachelor’s of Arts from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, with a focus on Photography, Printmaking, and Book Arts. Since receiving her B.A., she has production managed and stage managed for Confession of a Lazy Hmong Woman: The Remix and Hmong-Lao Friendship Play/Lao-Hmong Friendship Play with Lazy Hmong Woman Productions, and Viva La Soul Power in Chicago with Kaotic Good Productions. Kazua has been with In Progress since 2014 and continues as a mentor and instructor today.
Participation
This series is limited to 6 artists that have a documentary film project that is being planned.. Register by clicking on the button at the bottom of this page. There is no cost to participate but it is expected that those register will attend each session. Early registration is highly recommended

All activity will take place at In Progress - Studio 213 / 213 Front Avenue, Saint Paul MN 55117

The Independent Photographer is an intermediate level workshop series for emerging artists that are ready to take the next steps towards their professional development. We are seeking 8 participants for this series with an expectation that those that are accepted to the program will commit to the entire process.
