The "Independent Artist” series is designed to guide aspiring professionals through the fundamental steps of establishing a successful business. This series will provide invaluable insights into the critical aspects of initiating a business venture, covering key elements such as invoicing for services, developing a price sheet, writing your first grant, and establishing a strong web presence. The series will also bring in established artists to share insight into their encounters with copyright law, negotiating large contracts, and managing their public presence over time.

From defining your business concept and identifying your target market to registering your business and obtaining the necessary licenses, this section will serve as a roadmap for turning your entrepreneurial vision into a tangible and legally compliant reality. This workshop is designed for emerging artists that already have had some experience producing and are now ready to provide their skill set in an income generating venue.

We are seeking 8 participants for this series with an expectation that those that are accepted to the program will commit to the process.
