BIOGRAPHY

Cindy Vue is a dedicated digital storyteller and visual artist based in Saint Paul, Minnesota. A graduate of Harding Senior High School, Cindy began her creative journey at the young age of seven through In Progress. Under the mentorship of filmmaker Kao Choua Vue, she produced her first short film, I Am A Bird, which garnered national attention and was screened at film festivals across the United States.

Her early success laid the foundation for future collaborations with fellow youth creators. At In Progress, she continued to experiment with form and technique, blending photography and video in her projects The Haunted Playground and My Friend. These experimental works were also widely celebrated, further establishing her as a bold and imaginative young artist with a gift for merging emotion with visual storytelling.

Beyond filmmaking, Cindy finds joy and creativity in tactile hobbies such as knitting and repurposing clothing. She thrives in hands-on work and enjoys constantly moving from one creative activity to the next. Her multidimensional interests reflect her drive to express herself through multiple mediums, whether digital or physical.

After taking a break from In Progress to focus on her education, Cindy has returned to further hone her craft—particularly in the field of professional photography. She is committed to deepening her skills behind the camera and is eager to expand her portfolio of portraiture, event documentation, and post-production work.

Qualifications

Cindy Vue is skilled in operating professional DSLR cameras and has extensive experience in portrait and event photography. She is proficient in both photo and video documentation, with a strong command of post-production editing techniques. Cindy is also experienced with industry-standard software applications including Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and Microsoft Word.
