The Art of Making Music

Please join us for a series of open learning and making sessions with our Art of Music Workshop presented by In Progress artist Arley Sinks

This hands-on workshop is your chance to:

-    Produce your own beats

-    Record your music with professional guidance

-     Have fun and learn and create with others

Arley Sinks is a self taught artists that has been producing and selling beats for five years now.  He is a home grown Crookston artist and at the age of 13 has already proven his ability to teach and guide others.  Supported in each session with our studio director Rena Zapata - you can drop in learn music, work on photography, or create a video.  

These winter sessions will be dedicated to shared learning —you won’t want to miss it!

Sundays 1-3PM January 4 - February 28

Sound Healing For All

Centered in the need to provide care for members of our community during a time of high anxiety, Sound Healing For All offers participants a meditative and body grounding experience using traditional singing bowls, chimes and other instrumentation. As participants learn the art of sound, they will be able to experience a sensation through sound vibration/ frequency - which the sound audio will be recorded and shared publicly. In Progress is currently seeking 8 participants that are ready to learn, experience and discuss their own processes for healing.  Those that participate will be able to practice different instruments, record songs, and share their creations.  Participants must be willing/able to sit down or lay in on the floor for an extended period of time.

LEAD ARTISTS

Sound Healing For All  is led by In Progress artists Yeeleng Vue, and Laurette Sebastienne.

Activities take place at In Progress - 213 Front Avenue, Saint Paul, MN.  There is no cost to participate but it is expected that those that agree to participate, make every effort to attend each session.  Participation is limited so early registration is highly recommended. Bring a mat or blanket that you can sit on and lay down on for a long period of time. There will be some movements during the session so wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Bring water and snacks if needed.
